Shoes Attributes

Efficiency (SLD Earning) – Efficiency plays a part in SLD earnings. Having a higher Efficiency Attribute will result in better SLD earnings. Efficiency is determined by a shoe’s rarity and its level.

Level – Shoes can be levelled up using tokens; shoe level goes from 1 to 4. Efficiency, earning rates, energy and durability increase with shoe level. From levels 1-3, only SLD can be used to upgrade to the next level. At level 3, only MOVE can be used to upgrade to level 4.

Breeding Ability – Breeding refers to when users use two Shoes they own as a foundation to “breed”, producing a new pair of Shoes in the process. For reference, the Shoes used to breed will be referred to as Parents. Both parents need to be in the user’s possession and have full durability to begin the breeding process.

The maximum number of times Shoes can breed is based on level and rarity.

New Shoes can be bred using both SLD and MOVE. However, using MOVE to breed new Shoes will result in higher base stats.

Energy

Energy replenishes 25% every 6 hours until it reaches the Energy Cap. Energy is needed to earn SLD. As a user moves, energy slowly decreases until it has been fully depleted. A Shoes starting energy cap will be random, along with all other attributes. Energy can be increased by levelling up Shoes.

Durability - Durability determines how long a pair of Shoes can be used before they wear out. Once worn out, they will need to be repaired with SLD before they can be used again. Durability is based on detrition, which increases relative to how much any given pair of Shoes have been used:

Ex. A new pair of Shoes will start at a value of 0 detrition, and will increase with use to the maximum value (100, 125, 150, 200). At the maximum value, the Shoes can no longer be used.

A Shoes level determines the maximum durability:

Level 1: 100

Level 2: 125

Level 3: 150

Level 4: 200

Shoe Type

At launch, there will be a total of 2000 NFTs. Over time, more NFTs will be released. Each type of shoe performs differently, and are suitable for different movements:

Walker / 30% of total supply / Earning Range: 1-5 km/h

Jogger / 30% of total supply / Earning Range: 4-10 km/h

Runner / 30% of total supply / Earning Range: 8-20 km/h

Trainer / 10% of total supply / Earning Range: 1-20 km/h

Shoe Rarity

Step Land NFTs can be acquired in three different rarities: Normal, Rare and Super Rare. The rarity an NFT has is determined by an aggregate score of all shoe attributes combined.
